Flying

This picture of my father was taken in 1944. I was nine months old when he first had the opportunity to hold me in his arms. About ten years ago, he decided to get back into flying and he did just that for about two years. I hope I have inherited his courage ;)

That picture of your Dad looks like he is in a trainer. It's a two seater. All two seaters are not trainers, but I cannot see the whole aircraft. Great picture!

You say you saw the cannon on my blog? Try the link to see it fire...amazing.

As for THE WHO...
I had many chances down through the years, but only went (sadly late, but happily to go) to the Hollywood Bowl in 2004.

See ya!

I have done some looking around, and it was very fun for me...

I cannot really tell what type of aircraft you Father flew, as per the photo...exactly, but this one is very strikingly similar (use link). I can only go by what you said, and the very limited photo. It seems that a close resemblance is the Fairchild PT-19A "Cornell", a trainer (as we discussed earlier). There were many, many trainers and other interesting aircraft to speak of he may have known. I wish I could type forever for you.
